Dulquer Salmaan expresses his wish to do negative and grey-shaded roles!

In a career spanning just 8 years, Dulquer Salmaan has already done a wide variety of roles. But the actor still wishes to do more negative and grey-shaded characters. In a recent interview, he revealed that he is not very concerned about playing just the lead roles. He wishes to portray characters with grey shades and cites the example of ‘Mahanati’. The film which is the biopic of legendary actress Savitri has Dulquer essaying the role of late superstar Gemini Ganesan. It is a layered character with several shades. Dulquer’s performance was widely praised and also made him popular among the Telugu audience.

The ‘Charlie’ actor was shooting for his Tamil film ‘Hey Sinamika’ when the lockdown was announced. The film which marks the directorial debut of dance choreographer Brinda Gopal also stars Kajal Aggarwal and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead roles. In Malayalam, Dulquer has signed for a cop film with Rosshan Andrrews. He is also in talks for a straight Telugu film.
