Dulquer Salmaan signs his next in Tamil

After winning the hearts of Tamil audience with his charming performance as Adhi in Oh Kaadhal Kanmani, Mollywood’s hot favorite Dulquer Salmaan is all set to star in his next Tamil movie. This yet to be titled movie will be directed by debutant Ra Karthik.

It is reported that the film will be a romantic commercial entertainer and a travelogue kind of a story, on the lines of Bollywood films like Highway and Jab We Met. The entire second half of the film is claimed to be happening in North India. Dulquer has previously acted in a travelogue road movie- Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi (NPCB), which is regarded as the finest road movie to have ever released in Malayalam.

His new Tamil movie will be produced by Kenanya Films. George C Williams, who has wielded the camera in movies like Theri, Kaththi and Raja Rani has been roped in as the DOP. National award winner Sreekar Prasad is in charge of the editing. Music department will be handled by debutant Dheena Dhayalan.

In a recent media interaction, the director, who has also scripted it, confirmed that it is a travel movie. Dulquer will be seen in multiple looks in the film. According to the director, it will be a feel good movie that will appeal to audience of all age groups.

The team is currently in the process of finalising the four heroines for the movie. Reportedly, the script has been narrated to Enai Noki Payum Thotta fame Megha Akash and Oru Naal Koothu fame Nivetha Pethuraj. But they are yet to sign on the dotted lines. The makers are planning to start shooting from December once Dulquer is from all his existing commitments.

Dulquer is currently shooting for Bejoy Nambiar’s bilingual movie Solo. He will next join the sets of Lal Jose- Unni R team’s Oru Bhayankara Kamukan. Debutant Salam Bukhari’s commercial entertainer and Vysakh’s high voltage mass film are the two other projects in his kitty.
