Dulquer Salmaan to play a college professor in an upcoming Malayalam movie!

It has been long since Dulquer has had a Malayalam release. Lately, the actor has been busy with a slew of projects in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. If reports are to be believed, Dulquer is planning to make a strong comeback to his home turf, Malayalam cinema. Reportedly, Dulquer currently has three Malayalam movies in his kitty and all of them belong to different genres.

Salam Bukhari, a former associate of Anwar Rasheed, has roped in Dulquer for his directorial debut. Midhun Manuel Thomas, the director of the popular Aadu franchise, is scripting this movie. Talks within the industry suggest that the movie has Dulquer in a college professor’s role. If it is indeed true, this is his first attempt in playing such a role and it will be interesting to see how he pulls it off.

Of late, Dulquer has been doing a lot of different characters with aplomb and his college professor 3 act is something exciting to look forward to. More details regarding the movie is not yet known but we hear that it will go on floors most probably by the end of this year. Besides this, Dulquer has committed for two other movies in Malayalam – a comedy entertainer with the superhit writer duo of Bibin George and Vishnu Unnikrishnan, and ‘Sukumura Kurup’ with Srinath Rajendran.

Dulquer is currently busy with the final leg of shoot of his upcoming Tamil movie – ‘Kannum Kannum Kollai Adithaal’. He also has a romantic travelogue ‘Vaan’ with debutant Ra Karthik coming up in Tamil. His maiden Hindi film, ‘Karwaan’ is gearing up for release by the first week of August. The actor has also been signed to play the lead along with Sonam Kapoor in the big screen adaptation of best selling novel, ‘The Zoya Factor’.
