Dulquer Salmaan’s performance leaves shooting team in tears

Young star Dulquer Salmaan’s next release is Jomonte Suvisheshangal directed by ace filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad. The movie is written by Dr Iqbal Kuttippuram.

Recently Sathyan Anthikad described how Dulquer Salmaan’s endearing performance as Jomon moved the entire shooting team and the co-stars while filming an emotional scene for the movie.

The director said, “every movie will have one or two best scenes that will remain in the memory of the audience for a long time. We were shooting for one such sequence where Dulquer’s character Jomon is being questioned by his siblings. Jomon is talking about his father, the character played by Mukesh.

After Dulquer’s performance, Muthumani came to me and said she was remembered of her father. Vinu Mohan and Irshad also became slightly emotional. These are rare moments when an actor completely transforms into a character and forgets everything around him.

After the shot, cameraman S Kumar went to the bathroom to wash his face. Even I was moved to tears. Iqbal Kuttippuram’s sincere and heartfelt dialogues further intensified the whole sequence.”

Dulquer does not need prompting because he by-hearts dialogues easily by practicing it during the nights. That helps him get into the depth of the character.

Muthumani and Vinu Mohan are playing Dulquer’s siblings in the movie. Premam fame Anupama Parameswaran and Aishwarya Rajesh play the female leads Jomonte Suvisheshangal.
