Empuraan: Prithviraj seems highly excited about Murali Gopy’s script

After the record breaking success of ‘Lucifer’, it was officially announced that the film will be having a second part. Titled as ‘Empuraan’, the film will see Mohanlal returning as Khureshi Ab’raam aka Stephen Nedumbally. Prithviraj, apart from directing the film, will be reprising his role of Zayed Masood. Aashiravd Cinemas will be producing the film, which according to the makers, will be much bigger in terms of in terms of scale and treatment style.

Murali Gopy is currently in the writing process. Last day, Prithviraj had shared a photo taken from the interaction session and captioned it as,

At the writers den! My eyes are so wide coz I’m thinking how in the world am i going to shoot what he’s just told me! ? #L2

Though on the surface level ‘Lucifer’ looks like a political drama, there are several layers to it that will be explored in depth in the second part. If things turn out well, it could well have a third installment as well. Currently, there is still a lack of clarity regarding when ‘Empuraan’ shoot will begin as the trio of Mohanlal, Prithviraj and Murali Gopy have some other prior commitments
