First look poster of Nayanthara starrer Netrikann looks intriguing!

The first look poster of Nayanthara’s new film ‘Netrikann’ has been released online. Milind Rau of ‘Aval’ fame is directing the film. It is being produced by Nayanthara’s boyfriend and promising filmmaker Vignesh Shivan. His banner Rowdy Pictures Pvt Ltd is backing the film.

Interestingly, ‘Netrikann’ is said to be the official remake of ‘Blind’, a popular Korean thriller film. It is about a talented woman cadet at the police academy who loses her eye sight after a horrific car accident. Years later, she solves a murder case with the help of her dog and her strong skills in detecting senses.

Kim Ha-neul played the lead role in ‘Blind’ and her performance was widely appreciated. She even bagged the Best Actress honors at the 48th Grand Bell Awards and the 32nd Blue Dragon Film Awards for her performance.

The makers of ‘Netrikann’ must have adapted the script to suit the sensibilities of the native Tamil audience. It is still a very challenging role for Nayanthara and it will be interesting to see how she performs it. The film has cinematography by RD Rajasekhar, music by Girishh and edits by Lawrence Kishore.
