Gautham Menon, Vetrimaaran, Sudha Kongara and Vignesh Shivan collaborate for Netflix’s anthology film Paava Kadhaigal

After Amazon Prime announced their Tamil anthology film ‘Putham Pudhu Kaalai’, the other leading OTT, Netflix has now announced theirs. Titled as ‘Paava Kadhaigal’, it is a four-part anthology that has films helmed by popular directors Gautham Menon, Vetrimaaran, Sudha Kongara and Vignesh Shivan. Its release date has not yet been announced.

Honour killing is said to be the common theme in ‘Paava Kadhaigal’. Vignesh Shivan’s film titled as ‘Love Panna Uttranum’ stars Anjali and Bollywood actress Kalki Koechlin in the lead roles.

Malayali actor Kalidas Jayaram, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and GV Prakash’s younger sister Bhavani Sre are starring in Sudha Kongara’s film, ‘Thangam’. This segment has music composed by Justin Prabhakaran.

In Vetrimaaran’s film, ‘Or Iravu’, Sai Pallavi and Prakash Raj will be seen in the lead roles. Gautham Menon’s film has been titled as ‘Vaanmagal’ and it has the director himself playing the lead along with Simran.

Meanwhile, Amazon’s original ‘Putham Pudhu Kaalai’, that has films by Gautham Menon, Sudha Kongara, Suhasini Mani Ratnam, Karthik Subbaraj and Rajiv Menon, is scheduled to premier on October 16.
