The Covid-19 pandemic has proven to be a major booster for streaming platforms in India. As theatres across the country have been shut for over several months now, the general public has been showing great interest towards OTTs. This year, witnessed several big star films getting released directly in OTTs.

According to a list released by Let’s OTT Global, Sushanth Singh Rajput’s ‘Dil Bechara’ is the most watched film in India this year. The film got released in Disney + Hotstar exactly a month after the actor’s shocking demise. As a mark of respect to the late actor, Hotstar made the film available for both subscribers and non-subscribers. The response was unprecedented as lakhs of people watched the film in the opening day itself.
