Here’s the much awaited release date of Dulquer Salmaan’s debut Hindi movie!

As we all know, Dulquer Salmaan is making his Bollywood entry this year with ‘Karwaan’, in which he co-stars with Irrfan Khan and Mithila Palkar. The movie marks the directorial debut of noted actor/theatre personality Akarsh Khurana. As per latest reports, Karwaan will hit screens worldwide on June 1.

Akarsh Khurana has previously scripted movies like Humshakals and Krrish 3. He has also co-written the script of Karwaan with Hussain Dalal, the dialogue writer of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and 2 States.

Karwaan is said to be a light hearted entertainer which traces the story of three friends who come from different walks of life. It is a slice of life kind movie with prominence to realistic humour. Dulquer plays a Bangalore based guy in the movie. His character is a sweet yet serious kind of person. Abhishek Bachchan was initially approached for the character but he opted out due to date issues.

Director Akarsh Khurana had earlier revealed that he cast Dulquer after being impressed with his performance in films like Bangalore Days and Charlie. Interestingly, there is no love track for Dulquer’s character in the movie. The characters of Irrfan Khan, Mithila Palkar and Dulquer are from different walks of life who come together at one juncture of their lives.

Meanwhile, Dulquer has also signed for his second Hindi film, which is the movie adaptation of Anuja Chauhan’s 2008 novel The Zoya Factor. Sonam Kapoor and Dulquer will be playing the lead roles in the movie directed by Abhishek Sharma.
