Ilayathalapathy Vijay congratulates Dhuruvangal 16 director Karthick Naren

Dhuruvangal 16, the latest Tamil thriller has been making waves ever since it’s release. Movie buffs across South India have been discussing about the movie in various social media platforms. The movie and it’s 22 year old director Karthick Naren have found admirers from within the industry also.

Filmmakers like AR Murugadoss, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Vetrimaran and actors like Rana Daggubati, Sivakarthikeyan, Simbu Aravind Swamy and many others have openly appreciated the debut director’s brilliant work.

Latest to join the list is none other than Ilayathalapathy Vijay. Despite being one of the biggest superstars in South India, Vijay has always been supportive of youngsters and their works. Apparently, Vijay was highly impressed with Dhuruvangal 16 and congratulated the director over phone.

Karthick Naren himself shared the news with his followers through a Facebook post which reads,

“Brilliant job man. Really liked the way you treated the emotions. Best wishes for your future”, just received this call from ‘Ilayathalapathy Vijay’ sir. I have never stuttered so much while talking to someone on the phone.”

Earlier, Vijay’s mother and wife had also watched the movie and appreciated Karthick Naren. The actor was busy with his shooting commitments and could not watch the movie along with them.

Dhuruvangal 16 has crossed the 50 days theatrical run in Tamil Nadu and is scheduled to release on March 10 in Kerala.

Meanwhile, Karthick is busy with the pre-production of his next movie titled as Naragasooran. The movie stars Aravind Swamy, Naga Chaitanya and another leading star from Malayalam in the major roles. Gautham Menon is one of the producers of this movie.
