Indrajith Sukumaran to star in Ithihasa 2

It has been exactly four years since the release of Ithihasa, the sleeper hit of 2014. The movie featuring a bunch of youngsters emerged commercially successful taking everyone by surprise. Today, on the fourth anniversary of the movie’s release, the makers have announced its sequel with a title poster.

Ithihasa 2 will have Indrajith Sukumaran in the lead role. Binu S, who made his directorial debut with Ithihasa, is helming the sequel as well. While the first part had Shine Tom Chacko, Anusree and Balu Varghese in major roles, the makers are yet to reveal the cast of the new film.

Ithihasa is a fun filled entertainer with some interesting fantasy elements. It’s the story of body swapping between a conservative young software professional girl and an easy-going petty thief. This happens after they unknowingly wear rings that had some magical powers. The sequel’s title poster also has a ring and looks like it will be the continuation of the same story.
