Joju George opts out of Prathi Poovankozhi; Rosshan Andrrews to make his acting debut

Director Rosshan Andrrews’ new film ‘Prathi Poovankozhi’ had gone on floors recently. The film is scripted by Unni R. Manju Warrier plays the lead role in the film. Anusree and ‘Kumbalangi Nights’ fame Grace Antony are also there in prominent roles. Earlier the makers had decided to cast Joju George in an important role. However, the latest we hear is that Joju has opted out of the film and instead director Rosshan himself will be playing this role. If it turns out to be true, Rosshan will be making his acting debut with this film.

Unni R has scripted ‘Prathi Poovankozhi’ based on one of his short stories of the same name. The original story is actually a satire that looks into the current socio-political setting from a different perspective. The film will have Manju Warrier and Ansuree playing the roles of sales girls who work in a textile shop. The cast also includes Saiju Kurup, Alencier Ley Lopez and ‘Marimayam’ Sreekumar among others.

G Balamurugan is the cinematographer and Gopi Sunder is handling the music. It is being produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sri Gokulam Films. Shoot is currently progressing in Kottayam.
