Joseph Tamil remake: Check out the new poster of Visithiran

Malayalam actor Joju George’s hit film ‘Joseph’ is getting remade in Tamil. M Padmakumar, who directed the original film in Malayalam, is helming the Tamil version as well. Producer-turned-actor RK Suresh is reprising the lead role played by Joju. Shamna Kasim aka Poorna and Madhu Shalini will be seen as the female leads. The Tamil remake has been titled as ‘Visitharan’ and its new poster has been released online. RK Suresh and Shamna feature in the poster.

‘Joseph’ is about the story of a retired policeman who unravels the mystery behind his ex-wife’s strange death. Joju George’s performance in the film was widely praised and won him numerous accolades including the Kerala State award for Best Character Actor and a Special Jury Mention at the National level. So RK Suresh has a big challenge ahead of him to live up to Joju’s brilliant portrayal.

The Tamil version ‘Visithran’ has its screenplay adapted by John Mahendran, the director of Thalapathy Vijay’s much-loved film ‘Sachien’. GV Prakash is handling the music department. Vetrivel Mahendran is the DOP. Multiple national-award winning filmmaker Bala is producing the film.
