Kali is getting good response from USA as well !

The Sameer Thahir directorial film Kali is getting good response from screens in USA as well. The film released there 2 weeks back and it had got 26848 dollars as gross there. It is equivalent to 17. 84 lakhs in Indian currency. Fahad Fazil starrer film Maheshinte Prathikaram also running there at it had got a collection around 63 lakhs from US box office.

Even though both films not become any record breakers there from Malayalam, it shows the growth of fan base for Malayalam cinema there. Dulquer Salmaan’s Charlie also got good response in US box office few months back. Kali which released here in Kerala on March 25th, had opened to mixed reviews and as per latest reports, it had got a collection around 11 crore from two weeks.

But had suffered a great drop after the releases of films like Dileep starrer King Liar and Nivin Pauly starrer flick Jacobinte Swargarajyam. As per reports Vijay starrer Theri which will release tomorrow in Kerala around 180 screens will take away majority of screens in which Kali is running now and there will not be much screens available for the film.

The film is already got the hit status and as of now it will not be on its way to a big hit.
