Kalki will be a mass entertainer with an out and out Tovino show!!

Tovino Thomas has several projects coming up in the next few months. One of the most promising among them is ‘Kalki’, in which he will be seen as a cop. Praveen Prabharam, who was the associate director in ‘Theevandi’, is making his directorial debut with this movie. Gautham Sankar of ‘Theevandi’ and ‘Ladoo’ fame is the cinematographer.

In a recent interview with Onlookers Media, Gautham revealed that the movie will be a mass entertainer with an out and out Tovino show. The actor has been working on building his physique as the movie is action-packed. It will be a racy film with all commercial gimmicks to suit the demands of a mass flick. The makers are currently busy zeroing in on the locations. They have planned to start shooting from February.

Although Tovino has acted as a policeman in ‘Ezra’ and ‘Tharangam’, ‘Kalki’ will be his first attempt in playing a full fledged cop role. Earlier in an interview, director Praveen had said that Tovino’s character in the movie will be on the lines of Mammootty’s iconic Inspector Balram, who was a brash and forthright police officer. Praveen has scripted the movie jointly with Sujin Sujathan. Suvin K Krishna and Prasobh Krishna are producing the movie under the banner of Little Big Films.
