Karthi-Rashmika starrer Sultan first look poster released

Last day, on the festive occasion of Diwali, the first look poster of Karthi’s new film ‘Sultan’ got released online. The film is directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan of ‘Remo’ fame. Rashmika Mandanna, one of South Indian cinema’s most popular heroines today, is making her Tamil debut with this film. It is being produced by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu of Dream Warrior Pictures.

As per the makers, ‘Sultan’ is an action oriented family drama with a good dose of romance in it. Comedy actor Yogi Babu and Mansoor Ali Khan will also be seen playing crucial roles. Vivek-Merwin duo is composing the music and Ruben is handling the edits. Sathyan Sooryan is the cinematographer. More details are likely to be announced officially soon. The makers are eyeing for a theatrical release early next year.

Karthi meanwhile has a couple of other exciting projects coming up. He is expected to start shooting for ‘Irumbuthiran’ fame PS Mithran’s film next. The actor is said to be playing a dual role in it. He is also part of the Mani Ratnam biggie ‘Ponniyin Selvan’. A sequel to the star’s blockbuster action film ‘Kaithi’ is also in the offing.
