Malayalam superstar Mammootty recently completed 50 years in the film industry. His first film ‘Anubhavangal Paalichakal’, in which he played a junior artist’s role, got released on this day August 6 in 1971. The Kerala government is now set to felicitate Mammootty his phenomenal feat of completing 50 years in cinema. The announcement was made in the assembly by Saji Cheriyan, the State Minister for Kerala State Film Development Corporation and Chalachithra Academy,
