Lost in Dulquer’s performance, forgot to call the cut, says Sathyan Anthikad

Ace director Sathyan Anthikad’s next film Jomonte Suvisheshangal features Dulquer Salmaan in the lead. The movie will be hitting the screens on December 16.

During an interview, Sathyan Anthikad shared how the entire team was moved with Dulquer’s performance while shooting for a particular scene.

Every movie has one or two best scenes that will etch in the memories of the audience for a long time. The above mentioned scene will be one such. Dulquer’s character Jomon is being questioned by his siblings.

Dulquer’s performance was so stunning that the director forgot to call the cuts.

Sathyan Anthikad said, after the shot cameraman S Kumar went to the bathroom to wash his face. In fact the entire crew were teary eyed.

Jomonte Suvisheshangal has Vinu Mohan and Muthumani playing Dulquer’s siblings. Mukesh is playing their father in the movie, scripted by Dr Iqbal Kuttippuram. Premam fame Anupama Parameswaran and Aishwarya Rajesh play the female leads in the movie.

This is not the first time a filmmaker is sharing such a story. While shooting for Iruvar, legendary director forgot to call the cut during many scenes while watching Mohanlal performance in all his glory.

Sathyan Anthikad himself has earlier shared a similar incident while shooting for TP Balagopalan MA, once again with Mohanlal. While shooting an emotional scene in Varsham, director Ranjith Shankar has also had a similar experience watching Mammootty perform.

It is indeed a commendable that Dulquer in such an early stage of his career has won brownie points from a filmmaker like Sathyan Anthikad who has directed actors like Mohanlal, Mammootty, Jayaram, Thilakan, Murali etc.
