Maahan starring Vikram and Dhruv to have an OTT release!

In what might come as a huge disappointment for Vikram fans, the much-anticipated ‘Mahaan’ is set to skip theatrical release. Buzz is that the film will be releasing directly on Amazon Prime Video and the makers have already signed the deal. An official announcement is expected to be made soon.

Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, ‘Mahaan’ has Vikram sharing screen space with his son Dhruv for the first time. The film promises to be an action-packed gangster flick. While Vikram plays the titular role, Dhruv essays a character named Dada. It is learnt that the two play a father-son duo in the film as well.

‘Mahaan’ also stars Simran, Vani P Bhojan, Bobby Simha, Sananth and Muthukumar. The film bankrolled by Seven Screen Studios has music by Santhosh Narayanan and cinematography by Shreyaas Krishna.

It must be noted that director Karthik Subbaraj’s last film ‘Jagame Thandhiram’ starring Dhanush also had a director OTT release on Netflix.
