Mammootty and Dulquer Salmaan voices against the injustice done towards Jisha

People of Kerala is now in the shock of the news that came from Perumbavoor. A law College student named Jisha was brutally raped and murdered near Perumbavoor at Ernakulam District. Police and political parties allegedly ignored it first and now then the social media took up the issue, they are acting quickly. People are raising their voices against the injustice done towards Jisha and they are demanding the investigation to be fast and without any political pressure.

Many popular people also coming out through their social media pages voicing their protest against what has been happening in our state and what had happened to Jisha. Mammootty and his son actor Dulquer Salmaan had voiced their protest through their official Facebook pages.

Mammootty said that when a girl named Nirbhaya was brutally raped in Delhi and many such incidents happened in North India, we were quite relaxed here and we were proud of our state as we believed nothing like that will ever happen in our state Kerala. But when this girl named Jisha was brutally raped and killed here, as a Malayali our heads are bowing down in absolute shame. Mammootty says that we have to be heroes by protecting our mothers and sisters. Don’t become a curse to our society by attacking women. We have to protect each and every woman and make sure that anything like this will never happen to any other girl in Kerala from now on.

Dulquer Salmaan also said that he was very much sad to hear the news and he had expressed his concern over the safety or mothers and sisters. He says he can’t understand what is really going on in our society. More and more celebrities coming out expressing their protest and social media had really taken up this issue to the next level.
