Mohanlal not had a great year in 2015 even though he had successes like Ennum Eppozhum and Loham. People were complained that they did not get a film from him which satisfies them completely as an entertainer or as a class film. As per the latest reports, Mohanlal will be seen in a film named Benz Vasu which will be directed by G Prajith who made his debut last year with the blockbuster film named Oru Vadakkan Selfie starred Nivin Pauly.

Mohanlal will play the character named Benz Vasu in this film. The news of the project had come as a real surprise for Mohanlal fans and film lovers. Earlier veteran director Kamal expected to direct this project and later the opportunity had come to Prajith to direct the legend. The film will be financed by M Renjith under his banner of Rejaputhra Visual Media. M Renjith is the financer of the latest blockbuster in Mollywood, Two countries starred by Dileep and directed Shafi. The film will start its shooting after Mohanlal completes his Priyadarshan film named Oppam and Jibu Jacob film financed by Sophia Paul.

Mohanlal is currently busy with his Telugu project named Manamantha and after completing it he will join the Priyadarshan film Oppam in which he plays a blind character. He will also complete the shoot of his much awaited big budget project Puli Murugan also during this time. Then he will start the work for Jibu Jacob film in which he will play a Panchayat secretary. Meena will be the heroine of this flick.

He had another Telugu project as well as per reports which has Jr.NTR in the lead along with him and will be directed by Koratala Siva.
