Mohanlal wishes veteran actor Madhu on his birthday!

Madhu, one of the senior most actors in Malayalam film industry, is celebrating his birthday today. Mohanlal joined the actor in the birthday celebrations and cake cutting. The actor posted pictures on his official social media handle and wished Madhu a very happy returns of the day.

Mohanlal and Madhu share a great rapport, both on and off screen. They have acted together in numerous films like Naduvazhikal, Padayottam, Varnapakittu, Spirit, Hello, Naran etc. After a long gap, they are coming together in ace filmmaker Priyadarshan’s magnum opus Marakkar – Arabikadalinte Simham, which is based on the life of the fourth Kunjali Markkar.

Kunjali Marakkar was the title given to the naval chief in the 16th century, whose duty was to protect the coast against the invading Portuguese army. There were four key Kunjali Marakkars during that era and Madhu is playing the first among them. As Kutyali Marakkar, he has a prominent role in the movie. Mohanlal is supposedly playing the fourth Marakkar.
