Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam: Ramya Pandian joins Mammootty-Lijo Jose Pellisery film

Shoot for Mammootty’s upcoming film with Lijo Jose Pellissery is currently progressing in Palani in Tamil Nadu. The film titled ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’ is produced by the megastar’s newly launched production house Mammootty Company.

Tamil actress Ramya Pandian has joined the film’s cast and has started shooting for it. She is noted for her roles in the National-award winning ‘Joker’ and the recently-released ‘Raame Aandalum Raavane Aandalum’. Details regarding Ramya’s role in ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’ is not yet known. Veteran actor Ashokan is also playing a major role in the film.

Director Lijo is said to be attempting an entirely new genre this time. It is said to be a hybrid film with dialogues in both Tamil and Malayalam. Theni Eashwar who has cranked the camera for many acclaimed films, is the DOP. He has worked with Mammootty in ‘Peranbu’ and the yet-to-be released ‘Puzhu’.

After the completion of ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’, Mammootty and Lijo are also set to team up for a short segment in the upcoming Netflix anthology based on MT Vasudevan Nair’s stories.
