Official: Kathir signed to play a prominent role in Thalapathy 63

As Vijay’s next with director Atlee gets ready to go on floors, the makers have almost finalized the cast. Nayanthara has been signed as the female lead and Vivek is also confirmed in the cast. Latest to join the team is promising young actor Kathir, who is fresh from the superhit success of ‘Pariyerum Perumal’. Though his character details have not been revealed, it is said to be an important one. An elated Kathir tweeted,

Thalapathy 63 (working title) marks Vijay’s reunion with director Atlee after the blockbuster success of ‘Theri’ and ‘Mersal’. Touted to be a sports drama, the movie reportedly has Vijay playing the role of a coach. AGS Entertainment is producing the movie. As per trustworthy reports, the movie will be officially launched with a special pooja on January 20. Shoot will be commencing the next day, from January 21. The movie is scheduled for a grand Diwali release in October.
