Official: Mammootty-Ajai Vasudev movie titled as Masterpiece

Mammootty has been shooting for Rajadhiraja fame Ajai Vasudev’s upcoming mass entertainer for some time now. There have been several speculations about the movie’s title. The makers have finally put an end to all loose talks by unveiling the title in an official launch event.

The movie has been titled as Masterpiece and the movie comes with the tagline Master Of The Masses. The title was launched in a low profile event attended by Mammootty, other crew members and some selected invitees.

Masterpiece is scripted by Udhayakrishna, who is fresh from the historic success of Pulimurugan. The movie is touted to be an action packed mass thriller with a campus backdrop. Mammootty is playing the role of Edward Livingston aka Eddy, an English professor. He sports an extremely stylish look in the film.

Masterpiece has a big star cast. Unni Mukundan and Kasaba fame Varalaxmi Sarathkumar will be seen as police officers in the movie. Gokul Suresh, Mahima Nambiar, Poonam Bajwa, Maqbool Salmaan, Mukesh, Kalabhavan Shajon, Santhosh Pandit, Salim Kumar and many others are also part of the cast.

Vinod Ilampally is handling the camera and Deepak Dev is composing the music. Royal Cinemas owned by CH Muhammed is producing this movie. The makers are eyeing to release it for the Pooja holidays.
