Official: Nawazuddin Siddiqui joins Rajinikanth and Vijay Sethupathi in Karthik Subbaraj’s next

Rajinikanth is currently shooting for his next with director Karthik Subbaraj. Sun Pictures is producing this high profile project. The movie has Vijay Sethupathi playing the antagonist and Simran as Rajinikanth’s pair. Bobby Simha, Megha Akash, Sanath Reddy, Deepak Paramesh and ‘Aadukalam’ Naren are also playing crucial roles in the movie.

Latest to join the cast is Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The official announcement about his casting was made last day by Sun Pictures through their Twitter handle. Nawazuddin, who is unarguably one of the finest actors in Indian cinema, will be making his Tamil debut with this movie. The makers are yet to reveal details about his character’s nature.

Karthik Subbaraj met Nawazuddin in Mumbai during the promotions of his ‘Mercury’. Impressed with the script, Nawazzudin agreed to be part of the project after working his dates. The director had earlier expressed his wish to work with him in a Twitter interaction after the release of Raman Raghav 2.O.

It will be really exciting to see these incredibly talented actors like Rajinikanth, Vijay Sethupathi and Nawazzduin together on screen. Recently, there was also a buzz that Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil has been roped in for a major role in the movie. But director Karthik Subbaraj dismissed it as baseless rumours.

This yet-to-be titled movie’s technical crew includes National award winning cinematographer Tirru, composer Anirudh Ravichander and action choreographer Peter Hein. Title and first look are expected to be unveiled very soon.
