Official: Vijay Sethupathi is a part of Rajinikanth’s next

Ever since Karthik Subbaraj announced his new project with superstar Rajinikanth, speculations have been doing the rounds about Vijay Sethupathi playing a crucial role in the movie. The news has now been officially announced by the makers, Sun Pictures with a tweet in their official Twitter handle. Rumors are abuzz that Vijay Sethupathi has been signed as the villain, but a confirmation regarding the same has not been given.

Karthik Subbaraj has made acclaimed films like Pizza, Jigarthanda, Iraivi and the recent silent-thriller Mercury. Interestingly, Vijay Sethupathi has been part of all the director’s movies except Mercury. They share a great rapport and have been friends for long. It will be exciting to see how Karthik places two powerhouse of talents like Rajinikanth and Vijay Sethupathi together on-screen.

Shoot for this yet-to-be titled movie is slated to commence by June. The director and his team is currently busy with the process of finalizing the supporting cast and crew.
