Oru Mexican Aparatha first day collection; The movie has grossed more than 3 crores: Producer Anoop Kannan

Tovino Thomas’s highly anticipated campus political drama Oru Mexican Aparatha (OMA) was released yesterday to a rousing reception. The movie had high expectations among the youngsters majorly due to Tovino’s rising popularity and the movie’s slant towards the communist ideology.

Theatres witnessed heavy rush for the movie, the kind of rush that we normally get to see for superstar movies. Most theatres had a festive atmosphere. Audience, especially the youngsters have lapped up the movie. Critics have also given excellent reports.

OMA team have informed that the movie has grossed more than 3 crores from the opening day. Director Tom Emmatty revealed that the movie made a gross collection of Rs 3.25 crore on the first day while producer Anoop Kannan while the talking to the media said that the movie grossed more than Rs 3 crores.

However, the authenticity of these reports are still not known. Official reports from trade sources have still not been announced. Thanks to the positive word of mouth, weekend shows for the movie in most multiplexes have already been sold out. Tovino’s rising popularity among the youngsters will have a great impact in the box office collections.

The movie also features Roopesh Peethambaran, Neeraj Madhav, Gayathri Suresh, Kalabhavan Shajon, Sunil Sukhada in supporting characters.
