You should watch your son act, you will feel envious, says Mukesh to Mammootty

Dulquer Salmaan’s next release is Jomonte Suvisheshangal, hitting the screens on December 16. Written by Dr Iqbal Kuttippuram, the movie is directed by senior filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad.

Jomonte Suvisheshangal is a family entertainer that deals with a father-son relationship. Mukesh is playing Dulquer’s father in the movie, as a rich businessman. This is the first time both the actors are sharing screen space for a movie.

Recently, Sathyan Anthikad in an interview shared about the biggest compliment he received for the movie. After the shoot of the movie was completed, Mukesh had asked Megastar Mammootty to watch the movie.

Mukesh told Mammootty that “you should definitely watch this movie. Your son loves his father enviably in this movie”. Sathyan Anthikad said that it is the greatest compliment that he received for this movie.

Sathyan Anthikad has now directed both Mammootty and Dulquer Salmaan. Mammootty-Sathyan Anthikad combo have given some wonderful movies like Sreedharante Onnam Thirumurivu, Artham, Kalikkalam, Golanthara Vartha etc.

Interestingly, when Sathyan Anthikad directed Mammootty for the first time, Dulquer was not even born.

Sathyan Anthikad added, “I roped in Dulquer Salmaan not because he was Mammootty’s son. I have watched all his movies and his performances very closely right from the start of his career.

I was aware of the extent of his range. When this script came my way I discussed it with him. That is how he hopped on for Jomonte Suvisheshangal.”

Jomonte Suvisheshangal is produced by Sethu Mannarkkadu under the banner Full Moon Cinemas.
