Parthiban to direct Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Otha Seruppu Hindi remake

Tamil actor-filmmaker Parthiban is known for his audacious experiments. His most recent film ‘Otha Seruppu Size 7’ was a thriller with single actor in it. He produced, wrote, directed played the lead in the film. It entered the Asia Book of Records and India Book of Records for having a single person writing, directing, solo acting and producing a film.

Parthiban is now set to remake the film in Hindi. The versatile Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be starring in it. Parthiban shared a photo of the two in his social media handle informing that initial set of discussions have begun.

‘Oththa Seruppu’ is centred around a murder accused who is being interrogated by the cops. The entire set of events happen within the interrogation room over a span of few hours. The film premiered at the Singapore South Asian Film Festival in August and released worldwide on 20 September 2019. Upon release, it received largely positive reviews from critics.

Parthiban’s performance and his craft in helming such an experimental film found appreciation. Nawazuddin seems to be an ideal choice for reprising the lead role in the remake version.
