Ponniyin Selvan posters featuring Trisha and Jayam Ravi out

The makers of Ponniyin Selvan have shared two new posters featuring actors Trisha and Jayam Ravi. While Trisha plays the role of princess Kundavai, Jayam Ravi essays the role of Arulmozhi Varman, the actual Ponniyin Selvan.
The film based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s historical Tamil novel tells the story of early days of Arulmozhi Varman, who later became the great Chola emperor, Raja Raja Chola I.

Earlier, the makers had shared posters featuring Vikram, Karthi and Aishwarya Rai. Vikram plays a character named Aditya Karikalan and Karthi essays the part of Vanthiyathevan. Aishwarya Rai’s character plays Nandini, the Queen of Pazhuvoor. The cast also includes Vikram Prabhu, Parthiban, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Prakash Raj, Sarath Kumar, Prabhu, Babu Antony, Riyaz Khan, Kishore, Jayaram, Rahman, Lal and Ashwin Kakumanu.

‘Ponniyin Selvan’ is a two-part epic and the first part is set for for release on September 30. The film, which has music is AR Rahman and cinematography by Ravi Varman, is produced by Mani Ratnam’s own banner Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions. The makers are planning to launch the teaser today in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi languages.
