Prabhas 21 to be made on a budget of over Rs 400 crore!
Recently, it was announced that Prabhas and ‘Mahanati’ director Nag Ashwin would be teaming up for a pan-Indian film. Vyjayanthi Films is backing this project. The legendary production is celebrating their 50th anniversary and this Prabhas film is hence a very prestigious one. It is reported that the makers are investing a budget of over Rs 400 crore. Apart from Telugu, film will be made in Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, English and various other languages.
Reports suggest that ‘Prabhas 21’ (tentative title) is a futuristic sci-fi thriller set against the backdrop of an imaginary third world war. The film shows the protagonist caught in a war zone and how he takes control of it forms the crux of the plot.
Though director Nag Ashiwn is just two-films old, he has already proved his potential as an extremely talented filmmaker. His last film ‘Mahanati’, a multilingual, was a critically and commercially successful work. It went on to win three awards at the National level, including the one for Best Feature Film in Telugu. So when an award-winning filmmaker like Nag Ashwin joins hands with Prabhas, expectations will be sky-high. More details regarding the project are expected to be officially announced in the coming days.
