Kerala Box Office this week : Pulimurugan vs Thoppil Joppan vs Remo vs Kavi Udheshichath

After a long gap, Malayali audience were treated t back to back releases within a week. This week witnessed the release of Super Star Mohanlal srarrer Pulimurugan, Megastar Mammootty starrer Thoppil Joppan, Kavi Udheshichathu starring Asif Ali and Tamil movie Remo starring Sivakarthikeyan.

Pulimurugan

Pulimurugan starring Mohanlal was the most expected movie of the year. This action adventure movie has been getting great reports from all over Kerala and is expected to break many box office records. First day collections for the movie accounted to around 4 crores which is the biggest fora Malayalam movie.

Thoppil Joppan

Johnny Antony-Mammootty joined hands together for another entertainer Thoppil Joppan. It is a light hearted entertainer aimed at the family audience. The movie has been getting good response from all the centres. Families are enjoying this fun filled entertainer and houseful shows are being reported in most theatres for this weekend.

Kavi Udheshichathu

Asif Ali, Biju Menon and Narein teamed up for a rustic village entertainer in Kavi Udheshichathu. Due to the lack of a better story line and a strong technical support this has not been noticed by movie goers. Also the other biggies have taken up most of the theatres making it difficult for this mediocre movie .

Remo

Sivakarthikeyan starrer Remo is getting great response in Tamil Nadu. This romantic comedy flick was released in around 50 theatres in Kerala. Sivakarthikeyan enjoys a fair share of support in Kerala, and the movie is doing average business amidst all the massive Mollywood releases.
