Railway Guard: Prithviraj and Unni R team up for the first time!

Last day, Prithviraj made a surprise announcement regarding his new project through his official social media handle. He is set to team up with director Deepu Karunakaran and scenarist Unni R for a new film titled ‘Railway Guard’. He made the announcement by sharing the title poster, and along with that a note which reads,

The barren terrains of north and northeastern India. Thousands of kilometres of one of the world’s largest railroad network traverse through these often hostile terrains. There, at the end of a goods train that carry anything from coal to grains, he keeps watch alone. The scorching heat, the freezing cold, the darkest nights and the beat of the locomotive keep him company.

So, from the briefing, we can make out that its a story of a railway guard posted in the remote areas of North East India. The setting is new and a full-fledged story of a railway guard has not been attempted in Malayalam before. Hence sounds like a very interesting film.

Prithviraj had earlier worked with director Deepu Karunakaran in ‘Teja Bhai & Family’. But this his first outing with Unni R, who has penned acclaimed films like ‘Munnariyippu’ and ‘Charlie’.
