Soubin Shahir’s Ambili in GCC centres from today; Here’s the theatre list

Soubin Shahir’s ‘Ambili’ got released on August 9 in Kerala and has opened to largely positive reviews from all corners. The movie is releasing in Gulf centres from today (August 14). World Wide Films have bagged the distribution rights. The movie is being released in major centres in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar and Baharain.

‘Ambili’ is written and directed by John Paul George of ‘Guppy’ fame. Just like this debut film, this one is also a clean feel-good entertainer. It is powered by a fantastic performance from its lead actor, Soubin Shahir. It is part a road movie as well as its shot in various locations across the country. The movie has been shot in various states across the country.

Soubin plays the titular role of Ambili. Nazriya Nazim’s younger brother Naveen Nazim and debutante Tanvi Ram have essayed the other two major roles. Jaffer Idukki, Vettukili Prakash, Neena Kurup, Binu Pappu and Sreelatha Nampoothiri are also part of the film’s supporting cast.

On the technical front, Sharan Velayudhan, a noted cinematographer in the ad film industry, has wielded the camera. Kiran Das has done the edits and music is composed by Vishnu Vijay. Mukesh R Mehta, AV Anoop and CV Sarathy have produced it under the banner of E4 Entertainment.
