Sunny Wayne and Shine Tom Chacko join Dulquer Salmaan in his next

Dulquer Salmaan’s long awaited ‘Kurup’ is finally set to go on floors. Srinath Rajendran of ‘Second Show’ and ‘Koothara’ fame is directing the film. Based on the life of Kerala’s most wanted criminal Sukumara Kurup, the film is scripted by KS Aravind and Daniel Sayooj Nair. Pre-production works are currently progressing with the cast being finalized.

While Dulquer Salmaan plays the titular role of Kurup, the film will also have Sunny Wayne and Shine Tom Chacko in major roles. It must be noted that Sunny was also part of Srinath’s previous two films – ‘Second Show’ and ‘Koothara’. Details regarding the other cast members are expected to be revealed soon. Meanwhile, the makers are conducting an audition on August 21 at Jobys Mall, Palakkad.

It has been over two years since ‘Kurup’ got announced. The script was completed after over five years of research works. All this naturally heightens the expectations on the film. Nimish Ravi of ‘Luca’ fame will be cranking the camera and Sushin Shyam will be handling the music department.
