Tamil filmmaker Vasanthabalan bowled over by Joju George’s performance in Nayattu
Joju George’s performance in ‘Nayattu’ has been hailed by many as one of the finest in recent times. The film has him playing Maniyan, a veteran cop who knows all the dirty tricks in the system and plays along with them until he himself becomes a victim due to circumstances. As a man caught between his unhappy work life and growing regret of not being able to be with his family, Joju delivered a tremendous performance getting even the slightest of body languages spot-on.
Recently, Tamil filmmaker Vasanthabalan got to watch ‘Nayattu’ and was mighty impressed by it. In a long note written in his Facebook page, the director declared himself to be a huge fan of Joju’s acting. He even mentioned about how Joju looked perfectly like an ordinary policeman with his over-sized potbelly. Vasanthabalan also had words of praise for Dineesh Alpy’s performance. He played the negative character named Biju in the film.
Vasanthabalan’s Facebook post was also about the critically acclaimed film, ‘Biriyaani’. According to him, the lead actress Kani Kusruti has given a performance that is beyond awards. It must be noted that Kani bagged the Kerala State award for Best Actress and the BRICS Best Actress Award at the Moscow International Film Festival for her performance in the film.
