Thalaivar 171 Officially Announced: Sun Pictures to Bankroll Rajinikanth-Lokesh Kanagaraj Movie.

The much-awaited announcement has finally arrived today, as Sun Pictures officially unveiled their next project featuring the legendary Superstar Rajinikanth, directed by the talented Lokesh Kanagaraj. Earlier, there were speculations about Lokesh directing a Rajinikanth film in the coming year, but now it’s official.

According to reports, this upcoming film, tentatively titled ‘Thalaivar 171,’ is set to commence production in February of the following year. As per the current plans, it’s slated to be Rajinikanth’s grand Diwali release in 2024.Adding to the excitement, the sensational Anirudh Ravichander will be composing the music for this high-budget extravaganza. The action sequences will be masterfully choreographed by the renowned Anbariv team.

Lokesh Kanagaraj is currently engrossed in adding the finishing touches to his upcoming release ‘Leo,’ starring none other than Thalapathy Vijay. The film is all set to grace the screens on October 19th this year. Reports suggest that ‘Leo’ will be a valuable addition to the celebrated Lokesh Cinematic Universe, which already boasts hits like ‘Kaithi’ and ‘Vikram’.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is gearing up for his 170th film, set to kick off this month. Directed by the ‘Jai Bhim’ fame TJ Gnanavel, this project is backed by Lyca Productions and boasts an ensemble cast that includes luminaries like Amitabh Bachchan, Manju Warrier, Fahad Fazil, and Rana Daggubati. Anirudh Ravichander will be the music composer for this film as well.
