Thalaivi: Jayalalithaa biopic starring Kangana Ranaut to roll from October

As we already know, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is starring in the biopic of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. Director AL Vijay is helming the movie, which has been titled as ‘Thalaivi’. ‘Baahubali’ writer KV Vijayendra Prasad is scripting the film, which has been planned as a bilingual in Tamil and Hindi. The Hindi version has been titled as ‘Jaya’. It is being produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri.

Meanwhile, it is reported that Kangana has already started prepping up for the role. Before becoming one of India’s most powerful political faces, Jayalalithaa was a leading actress in the Tamil film industry. Since the biopic will be covering all these areas, Kangana will be putting loads of efforts. She has already started to learn Tamil diction, classical dance and will also be putting on weight. Shoot is scheduled to begin by the first week of October

‘Thalaivi’ aka ‘Jaya’ has an efficient technical crew. Nirav Shah will be cranking the camera and music will be composed by GV Prakash. Antony will be handling the edits. National award winning Malayali make up man Pattanam Rasheed has also been signed for this prestigious project.
