Thalapathy 64: Kiara Advani in talks for Vijay’s next

As reported by us earlier, Vijay’s next after the ongoing ‘Bigil’ will be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Pre-production works including casting for the movie are still under progress. Buzz is that Bollywood actress Kiara Advani is being considered to play the female lead in the movie. One of the leading actresses in B-Town, Kiara made her South debut last year with the Mahesh Babu starrer ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’.

Lokesh’s upcoming film with Vijay, which is tentatively titled as ‘Thalapathy 64’ is said to be a gangster story. The director made his debut in 2017 with the surprise hit ‘Maanagaram’. Since then, Lokesh has been rated as one of the most promising filmmakers in Tamil. He currently has ‘Kaithi’ starring Karthi gearing up for release.

Malayalam actor Antony has been roped in to play the villain role in ‘Thalapathy 64’. Composer Anirudh Ravichander, cinematographer Sathyan Sooryan and editor Philomin Raj are said to be part of the technical crew. Xavier Britto, who is said to be a relative of Vijay, will be producing the movie. Official announcement will be made shortly.
