Theevandi fame Kailas Menon to score music for Ittymaani Made in China

Mohanlal’s new movie ‘Ittymaani Made In China’ is scheduled to go on floors from the last week of this month. Debutant director duo Jibi and Joju are helming the movie, which is said to be a full-on comedy entertainer. The movie will have Mohanlal as Ittymani, who is based in Kunnamkulam. He will be speaking in a funny Thrissur dialect in the movie.

‘Ittymaani’ will have music composed by Kailas Menon, who made his debut last year with the hit film ‘Theevandi’. All the songs in the movie were big hits, especially the romantic track ‘Jeevamshamayi’, which went on to become a sensation. Sharing his excitement about getting to score for a Mohanlal film, Kailas Menon has written on his Facebook page,

Big news! Scoring music for a Lalettan movie has always been a dream. Incidentally ‘Ittimani Made in China’ was the first movie that came to me after ‘Theevandi’.. Was waiting for the official announcement. So privileged to get this opportunity at the early stage of my film career. Honey Rose has been signed as the female lead in ‘Ittymaani’. Veteran Tamil actress Radhika Sarathkumar, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Kailas, Soubin Shahir, Aju Varghese, Siddique, Salim Kumar, Hareesh Kanaran, Johny Antony, Nandu, Swasika Vinu Mohan and Hareesh Kanaran are part of the supporting cast.

Shaji Kumar is the cinematographsr and Sooraj ES, the editor. Antony Perumbavoor is producing the movie under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.
