Vamban: Mammootty signs for yet another big budget movie!

Megastar Mammootty has a handful of projects this year. Two among these, Mamankam and Kunjali Marakkar IV are planned to be a shot in multiple schedules over a course of two years. The 67-year-old actor already has a jam-packed couple of years ahead of him and despite that he has signed for yet another film.

This upcoming movie titled as ‘Vamban’ is to be helmed by Rejis Antony, who was one of the directors of Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Oru Second Class Yathra. Popular producer Sargam Kabeer of Sargam Pictures is making his comeback after a long gap by funding this movie. He has previously produced Mammootty’s hit films like Dada Sahib and Rakshasarajavu. This upcoming film is said to be a big budget project

Reportedly, Vamban will be an action packed entertainer. Leading stunt masters Kanal Kannan and Peter Hein will be choreographing the stunts in the movie. More details regarding the cast and other crew members are expected to be officially announced very soon.

Meanwhile, Mammootty’s Tamil-Malayalam bilingual movie, Street Lights is all set to hit screens on January 26. The movie directed by Shamdat is an investigative thriller featuring Mammootty as a cop. His forthcoming socio-political thriller Parole, directed by Sharrath Sandith, is expected to release next month.
