Varalaxmi Sharathkumar and Unni Mukundan plays cops for Mammootty’s​ campus flick

Mammootty is currently playing as a college professor in Ajai Vasudev’s campus flick. The film is penned by Udaykrishna, the golden writer, who had scripted Pulimurugan before this one. This yet to be titled film is reported to be a mass thriller set in the backdrop of a government arts college. Mammootty will be seen in a larger than life character as a strict and short tempered professor. We had earlier reported that the movie would star three female leads namely Poonam Bajwa, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Mahima Nambiar.

The latest news that has come from the unit is that both Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Unni Mukundan will portray police cop roles. The writer Udaykrishna had informed “Varalaxmi Sharathkumar portrays an IPS officer named Bhavani Durga, who is one of the female leads and Poonam Bajwa is seen as a college lecturer in the movie”

“The college authority and boards are fed up with the group war activities happening in there regularly. The students are often arrested by the officers for crimes. And therefore the movie emphasizes more on the students-police conflicts revolving” he speaks about the plot.

The later part includes Mammootty’s character trying to make a change in the scenario and moves the plot forward, “Edward Livingstone is Mammootty’s character who had also indulged in criminal cases. He is shown as a strict professor who doesn’t mince words and makes sure that he makes the whole college prompt and clean” he continued.

The flick has an ensemble star cast that includes actors like Gokul Suresh Gopi, Mukesh, Salim Kumar, Maqbool Salmaan, Santhosh Pandit, Shaji Navodaya and many others. Royal Cinemas owned by CH Muhammed is producing this movie. The movie is progressing shooting at Fatima Mata National College in Kollam.
