VD Satheesan criticize Mohanlal’s blog about demonetisation

Mollywood super star Mohanlal has written blogs about many social issues. He has shared his perceptions and opinions about many current affairs like Kiss of Love, JNU issue. The actor has also been at the receiving end for voicing his opinions through his blog.

Mohanlal’s recent blog was about the demonetisation drive initiated by the central government to check the black money in the country. The actor has supported the government’s decision and praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his in depth study of the Indian society.

But his blog had not gone well among the masses. Netizens have criticized Mohanlal for talking about the issue without understanding the ground reality and the hardships faced by the common man of the country.

Congress MLA VD Satheesan has criticized Mohanlal for his blog. In his Facebook post the MLA writes, In a democracy every citizen has the right to express his opinions. But it will be ideal if a socially influential person like Mohanlal comment on such a critical issue after realizing the depth of the situation.

People are standing in long queues before ATMs and banks not for buying liquor or movie tickets. They are toiling to get hands on their own hard earned money. Mohanlal addled people for buying liquor. But the reality is they are sweating it out to withdraw money for marriage and hospital expenses. I cannot understand why Mohanlal is unable to see the common man’s difficulties before supporting Narendra Modi, writes VD Satheesan.

Mohanlal’s blog has received flak from many people who have opposed the centre’s sudden demonetisation move. Many people have also supported and praised the actor for showing the courage to voice his opinion on such a controversial topic.
