Vijay to reunite with Lokesh Kanagaraj for Thalapathy 66; Mersal makers Thenandal Films to produce the film!

After the smashing success of ‘Master’, there have been various speculations about Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj teaming up once again. The news seems to be true as it is being widely reported that Vijay has given his nod. Apparently, Thenandal Films, the banner that produced the star’s 2018-blockbuster ‘Mersal’, will be producing this film (Thalapathy 66).

Since ‘Mersal’ was made on a huge budget, the makers could not gain big profit out of that film. So Vijay had promised to do another project with the banner. And since Lokesh is known for doing films within a reasonable budget, Vijay felt that he will be the right choice for the project. More details are expected to be out soon.

Vijay meanwhile will soon start shooting for his next film, Thalapathy 65. Nelson Dilipkumar of ‘Kolamavu Kokila’ fame is directing the film. Pre-production works are currently in the final stages as the makers are planning to start shoot in April. Sun Pictures is producing the film, which is being planned as a pan-Indian project.
