Viswasapoorvam Mansoor : Gauthami returns back to Mollywood after 14 years

We had earlier reported that director PT Kunju Muhammed’s next movie is titled as Viswasapoorvam Mansoor. The movie has aanandam fame Roshan Mathew and Prayaga Rose Martin in the lead roles. Now we hear that popular yesteryear actress. Gauthami is playing a pivotal character in this movie. She is staging a comeback to Mollywood after a gap of 14 long years. Her last film in Mollywood was back in 2003- Varum Varunnu Vannu.

In a recent interview the director revealed more details about her character. He said, “Gauthami will be playing the role of a modern mother in this movie. She is playing the character Maliyekkal Fathibi aka Fathima Beevi. She is the mother of Mansoor, the character played by Roshan Mathew. Fathibi is a broad-minded woman who is settled in Thalassery with her son. Their world is confined to each other, till a mother and daughter make an unexpected entry into their lives.”

Gauthami after a long gap returned back to acting through Papanasam, the Tamil remake of Drishyam. She recently with Mohanlal in Chandrasekhar Yeleti’s Telugu movie Manamantha which was dubbed in Malayalam as Vismayam.

PT Kunju Muhammed has earlier directed critically acclaimed movies like Garshom and Paradeshi. He has also written the script and dialogues for this movie while the story is written by Jayakrishnan Kaavil.

Viswasapoorvam Mansoor will go on floors in February. Thalassery and Mumbai are the major locations. The movie also stars Shweta Menon, Leona Lishoy, Renji Panicker, Sajitha Madhathil, Sunil Sughada, Shivaji Guruvayoor and Santhosh Keezhattoor playing pivotal characters.

Ramesh Narayanan is composing music for lyrics written by Rafeeq Ahmed, Prabha Varma and Premdas. The movie is produced by KV Mohanan under the banner Vergin Plus Movies.
