Check out this new promo video of Prithviraj’s 9

As 9 gets ready to hit screens on February 7, the makers have started their next step of promotions by releasing the sneak peak videos. The first promo video was released a while back in social medias. The short clip hints that a horror element is in store for the audience. This much awaited movie is directed by Jenuse Mohamed, who had earlier helmed the Dulquer Salmaan starrer ‘100 Days of Love’.

9, according to the makers, is the first of its kind Malayalam film with elements of horror, psychological thriller and science fiction. According to Prithviraj, who is also the producer, it is hard to brand the label the movie to one particular genre. It has several layers and concepts but at the core of which is an emotional father-son bonding. It is basically about a turbulent relationship of a father and son. The story unfolds in the backdrop of a massive global event that lasts nine days. What happens over this course of period forms the plot.

Prithviraj plays the role of scientist Albert Lewis and child actor Alok plays his son, Adam. The cast also includes Prakash Raj, Mamta Mohandas, Wamiqa Gabbi, Tony Luke, Rahul Madhav and Adil Ibrahim. Prithviraj’s newly launched banner Prithviraj Productions is funding the movie jointly with Sony Pictures International Productions.
