As Keerthy Suresh’s ‘Penguin’ is gearing up for a direct OTT release, the makers have shared the trailer online. As expected from the teaser and the posters, the trailer looks every bit thrilling and has shades of psycho killer films from the west. It looks like the story is about the search for a missing husband and a psycho killer on loose.

‘Penguin’ is written and directed by debutant Eshvar Karthic. The film has high expectations among cinephiles thanks to the intriguing promos and the involvement of Karthik Subbaraj. The ‘Petta’ director is producing this film under his banner of Stone Bench Films. It is also Keerthy Suresh’s first solo-lead film to be released after winning the National Award for Best Actress last year.

‘Penguin’ is the second Tamil mainstream film Jyothika’s ‘Ponmagal Vandhal’ to get a direct OTT release. Amazon Prime has bagged the film’s streaming rights and it is slated for premiere on June 19. The film will be released simutlaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam languages.
