Fahadh Faasil to play the villain in Kamal Haasan’s Vikram?
As we already know, Kamal Haasan is teaming up with the highly promising Lokesh Kanagaraj for a new film titled ‘Vikram’. Kamal’s own production house Raaj Kamal Film International (RKFI) is producing the film, which is planned as a summer 2021 release. Latest buzz is that Malayali actor Fahadh Faasil has been approached to play the villain role in the film. Though an official word is yet to be out, the news is already trending in social medias.
Fahadh Faasil has often opened up about his hesitation in working in other languages. Filmmakers like Mani Ratnam, Karthik Subbaraj and Bejoy Nambiar had approached him for various projects, but the actor could not himself. So far, he has worked in only two Tamil films — ‘Velaikkaran’ and ‘Super Deluxe’. If news about ‘Vikram’ is true, it will be interesting to see Fahadh and Kamal Haasan pitted against each other.
‘Vikram’ is expected to be a spin-off of Kamal Hassan’s character from the 1986 film of the same name. Even in the title teaser of Lokesh’s film, the same iconic background score from the yesteryear film was reused. More details regarding the project are still awaited.
