Lijo Jose Pellissery has been criticised in the review for trying to feed in Christianity through his movies. The reviewer, Ranjith G Kanjirathil has also mentioned about Lijo’s earlier movie Amen, where a saint arrives in the form of a priest to unite the lead couple.
According to Ranjith, Angamaly Diaries is a story of a group of criminals told with the glory of a French revolution.
